David (Dave) Nielsen is the founder of Rose Bradley Homes. This family-owned business, named after his parents, is the culmination of 20 years of dreams, planning, and a wealth of education and real-life experience. Known for his energy, positivity, and commitment to quality, it’s no surprise that he was named one of the top 40 Under 40 by Professional Builder Magazine.
Dave is someone who gets things done, no matter what, always finding a solution and powering ahead to make new achievements. He reached Eagle Scout at a young age and has been pushing and driving himself ever since. He’s a graduate of Brigham Young University (BYU), Marriott School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management-Finance. He also has a Master of Real Estate Development-Finance from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business. That’s on top of the two years he spent in Tokyo, Japan, as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
At the start of his career, David was an underwriter at a regional bank in Salt Lake City. He credits this experience for providing him with foundational instincts into business owners and corporate finance. He worked his way up, becoming a seasoned analyst of assets and acquisitions, before following his passion for real estate and moving to New Mexico to take on the role of Land Acquisition Manager.
Since then his career has provided him with extensive experience in new home construction. That has included scouting new land, assessing market conditions, and exploring potential opportunities. By creating smarter, new deals, he delivered significant returns, in one case doubling the size of a company within four years, and tripling the size of another.
David eventually moved back to Southern Utah where he took on the position of Division President of another home builder at just 32 years old. In this position, he reorganized company-wide operations, acquired new properties, and inspired a spirit of relentless energy within his team.
David has received numerous real estate and industry awards for his outstanding achievements over the years. Now, with his own company, he has been involved in every aspect of the business, though his main focus is land acquisition, land development, and sales and marketing. His understanding of the industry — along with his personal belief that everyone deserves a quality-built, thoughtfully designed home that is affordable — makes him a force to be reckoned with as he puts his passion into building homes across Southern Utah, including Cedar City, St. George, and surrounding towns.
Despite his drive and success, he never forgets the importance of family. After all, his aim is to build outstanding homes for first-time families to give them the sense of solidity and refuge that a home provides. His own family gives him those same feelings. He met his wife, McKell, while they were students at BYU. Once again, David’s persistence paid off when she agreed to marry him and she has been by his side through it all as a kind and loving wife who makes their home go round. They now have three remarkable children with whom they enjoy a variety of activities, but the couple still finds time to enjoy their shared passion for cycling. They recently participated in a one day, 200-mile bike race that started in Logan, Utah, and finished in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It’s that kind of determination, persistence, and drive to grow and improve that carries over to Rose Bradley Homes, where David is deeply focused on building homes for everyone, providing accessible luxury, whether it’s your first house or a second home.
At the end of the day, when you choose Rose Bradley Homes, Dave is going to do his best to make sure the entire process goes as smoothly as possible and that you will have a home you never thought you could have. Dave believes firmly in trust, integrity, and positivity, both personally and in his business, so it’s no surprise that he and the rest of the team will do everything in their power to help you get into a home that you can feel good about for years to come.
Dan Nielsen was the obvious choice for President of Rose Bradley Homes, when his brother David founded the company. This family-based and family-oriented company believes firmly in the strength that family provides and how important it is for families to have a solid, affordable place to call home and build their lives.
As he explains, “Homebuilding is a dynamic and benevolent business. I feel really good about the product and services we provide to a society that seems to be in a constant flux of friction. Homes can provide a place of refuge. Everyone needs a safe place to live.”
The brothers certainly seem to have grown up in just such a home with many shared life experiences, including both becoming Eagles Scouts, spending time as missionaries in Tokyo, Japan, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and impressively both being named the top 40 Under 40 by Professional Builder Magazine. Both attended Brigham Young University, but their choices in different degrees shows their own unique interests, while still having a shared underlying interest in building quality homes.
Dan Nielsen got his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a minor in Business Management. This falls neatly in place with his passion for all things operation, covering construction, purchasing, customer service, and warranty. He’s a hands-on president who is always looking to develop the people around him. In other words, he leaves things better than when he found them. This same principle applies to all the team members he has developed over the years of being in leadership roles. He and his team are likely to look at any part of their job and think, “How can I be better at my role?” He encourages that in everyone.
He’s had ten years of experience to grow and develop and see how things can be improved and how to make teamwork, and the homes they build, even better. Before teaming up with his brother to combine their shared passion and beliefs about building homes, he worked for Hakes Brothers Homes, New Mexico’s largest family owned new construction company. Even then, he was drawn to the concept of a family business. In less than 10 years Dan progressed from superintendent to the top leadership position for the company, also with a two-year hiatus in Texas as a project manager to gain more hands-on experience.
Dan is a consummate professional and competitive at his core but his thoughts and actions are always about supporting the team and helping others. That kind of morale building results in incredible success, including building 500 homes in one year with his previous company, building a model home in just 50 days – an incredible feat – always aiming for 100% customer satisfaction and coming very close with his previous company, reaching over 90% in Avid Ratings, with Dan’s Division ranking in the top 10% of the entire nation in this rating.
It’s clear that anyone looking for a new home will be in excellent hands with Rose Bradley Homes. Dan and his brother David, and the rest of the team, are dedicated to building a top-quality home for you and creating a positive experience for you and for the people who build your home. When people are happy and feel respected, it shows in the quality of their work, which is why Rose Bradley Homes builds some of the best homes in Southern Utah.
There’s an adage when it comes to real estate. It’s all about location, location, location. And for realtor Paige Marsh, this rings true for her career with Stratum Real Estate. Paige began her real estate career with Stratum back in July 2012.
As a realtor, Paige helps buyers find properties and helps sellers sell their properties. She also refers clients to the best affiliates to support their homebuying journey, including lenders, title insurance, and homeowner’s insurance. Paige loves the spontaneity of her workdays because there is nothing typical about them. She usually gets last minute phone calls from clients wanting to see a property or from sellers who want to sell and want to know if it’s a good time to buy. A common question she encounters from buyer’s is when a house has been on the market for a month. Potential buyers will ask, “do you think they’ll accept $80,000 less than asking?”
She does feel a bit of routine when she has appointments with the same clients. She loves the “potential for my “office” location on any given day to end up being anywhere in Southern Utah.” Other highlights for Paige being a realtor is being outdoors instead of sitting behind a desk all day, taking road trips, and helping people find and purchase one of the best investments they may ever make. Paige is a valuable member of the Stratum team and has been here since the beginning. She was one of Stratum’s Top Seller’s Agent in 2021.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Paige graduated from Clark High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Southeastern Louisiana University where she played Division 1 collegiate softball. Paige earned her master’s degree in business and marketing. In addition to being a realtor, Paige has devoted the past 10 years to the Southern Utah Surf soccer organization as their certified registrar. She’s also active in the church and currently teaches Sunday School to the Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors of our ward.
Paige is a single mom to three teenagers; all of whom play competitive travel sports. When Paige talks about motherhood, she says “my greatest joy is to watch my kids compete in tournaments with their teammates and friends.” She loves all sports and shares a love of attending sporting events with my kids. Paige’s first love is to travel. Though her real estate career allows her to travel throughout southern Utah, Paige says “if I could take a week-long vacation to a new destination every six months my life would be complete.”
Something that a lot of people don’t know about Paige is that her and her friends worked as extras during her college summer breaks for a few Hollywood movies that filmed in Vegas. She was able to make a few bucks back then and now it’s cool to go back and show her kids “where your head is” in past movies. When it comes to Paige’s pick between #teamtaco, #teampizza, or #teamsomethingelse, the choice is clear. Paige is all about #teamchipsandsalsa!!!!!!!!!!!
